The Ulrich Process:
Complete and Comprehensive Design and Remodeling
At Ulrich, Inc. we’ve had decades to refine and perfect our design and remodeling process so that each project goes from a well-designed plan to well-executed completion with our trademark attention to our customers’ needs—and every detail along the way.
Seven Steps to a Gorgeous New Space
Ulrich, Inc.’s process is designed not only to build a beautiful new kitchen, bathroom, addition, or other living space in your home … it’s also designed to build a long-term relationship with our clients, from initial consultation through construction and many happy years beyond.
Showroom visit / initial consultation.
Visit our Ridgewood, NJ showroom to meet us and see first-hand the quality and beauty of our work, the spaces we have designed, and the products we offer. You’ll be able to meet with a design team member or set an appointment to go over the breadth of our services. This will give you a chance to express your unique requirements, share your ideas, and discuss budget parameters.
In-home design consultation / in-depth needs assessment.
Your designer can view your existing space, take measurements and photographs, and help flesh out your vision for your new kitchen, bath or home remodeling project. He/she will ask you questions about your lifestyle in order to create the most comfortable space for the way you live and your household’s particular needs.
Design concept and budget presentation.
Your designer will present the conceptual ideas and a project budget developed with your objectives in mind. A project development fee is required at this time to engage Ulrich, Inc. as your design firm. We will then complete the design and specifications including detailed floor plans, elevations and interpretive drawings (or renderings) for final review.
Expert guidance with product selection.
Shop our showroom or local vendors. Either way, your design expert will help you select all of the products and materials to achieve the look and function unique to your vision. This includes the cabinetry, countertops, flooring, backsplash, fittings, fixtures, and hardware. With great attention to detail, we will guide you towards a beautiful outcome!
Contract.
At this stage, you will review all the final plans, specifications and contract documents. Product selections will be listed as will the anticipated timing for start and completion, total project cost, and payment schedule.
Project management.
Your dedicated project manager will double check all on-site measurements, and work with our operations and production teams to ensure that all products and materials are ordered to specification and arrive on site when needed. You’ll have a capable professional overseeing every step and troubleshooting as needed, so you don’t have to.
Ulrich’s long-term, hands-on commitment to service and quality.
We stand behind all of our installations and provide lifetime service on our work. Should you need a knick repaired on a cabinet door, a hinge adjusted, grout replaced, have a question, need help in setting up a service call for one of your appliances, or need other work done on an Ulrich installation, we will gladly work with you to get it taken care of.
