A Modern Kitchen with a Mid-Century Feel

Design Details: Calacatta Altissino Blanc Porcelain Wrapped Range Hood, Hand-painted Carrera Marble Instagram Arch, Metal Framed Bar Cabinet Doors, Built in island produce baskets.

The Backstory: Our clients wanted a Mid-Century Modern inspired kitchen for their renovation.  We incorporated the clean lines and organic forms of this aesthetic to create a kitchen space with an effortless blend of function and style.

The focal point of the kitchen is the custom architectural range hood wrapped entirely in dramatic porcelain. Its clean lines and bold veining offer a striking, modern contrast to the warm wood and soft tones of the surrounding cabinetry. Windows were expanded and French door openings made wider to enhance the mid-century feel.

Metal-framed doors were used to enhance and give a distinct feel to the bar area, and the same dramatic porcelain was used to tie the areas together.

One very unique design detail that the family requested in their new kitchen was an Instagram space! This was created to be another focal point in the kitchen. The custom arched flyover was designed with open shelving for arranging photo-ready staging items and personal mementos, becoming a favorite kitchen spot for both family and friends.

The overall design with the custom light-wood cabinetry, featuring elegant gold hardware creates a seamless look in the space. Customized details like the built-in paper towel dispenser and integrated storage keep countertops clutter-free.
